Bible says sex outside of marriage to be immoral and god will judge immoral and adulterous, so there is question is it a mortal sin (mortal sin means which separate us from god) if you are thinking now I don't feel any connection with god or is this a reason or something else. Here I would like to say that according to new testament bible Jesus Christ son of the God Almighty came down to wash our sin it doesn't mean that god do not forgave when king David fall into sin of murder and adultery he was for given when he ask for forgiveness. it means in old testament god use to forgive us if we make our heart genuine to live rest of life for god.

Isaiah 59 2-4
But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear.

For your hands are stained with blood, your fingers with guilt. Your lips have spoken lies, and your tongue mutters wicked things.

Your sins means whether it is sex befor marriage or ten commandment ,or old testament commandment or we can say any sin not only sex before marriage or out side marriage or any sin you have done then it will seperate you from god and he will never listen your prayer you may cry of whatever you do as you can say mortal sin. but here is catch if you will separate yourself from sin ( sex before marriage ) whatever you are dealing with god will always there to love you and comfort you the thing you have to do is ask him for forgiveness

whatever you have done you are messed up in your life and you are thinking you have sinned god will never forgive me and many questions in your mind then just kneel down ask for forgiveness say god that you have said in Isaiah 1:18 you will forgive me so please forgive me and i'll never do it again make me white as snow. and for sure god will forgive you dont doubt in mind b'cuz satan make doubt that you are not forgiven but in real you are free now and dont repet your sin otherwise it will drag you to burning fire hell
and yes if you are thinking you had sinned many time after knowing god and accepting Jesus Christ as personal saviour then also you have chance from now onwards leave whatever you have done ask for forgiveness and yes don't repeat it again.
